Le Macaron Embraces Mobile Kiosk Format
Le Macaron, the pasty franchise, opened its first mobile kiosk! This new business format will cater to the quick service trend of people on-the-go. It will also be easy to implement in a variety of locations, such as malls, airports, and events.
“We wanted to create an opportunity that allows our franchise owners to work in nonconventional environments and offer guests a sweet treat when they are unable to access one of our locations,” says Rosalie Guillem, CEO and co-founder of Le Macaron French Pastries. “Our products can easily be eaten on the go, so a mobile kiosk aligns perfectly with our brand.”
The mobile kiosk is a much less expensive investment than typical storefronts, generally ranging from $90,000 to $130,000, whereas a storefront can be up to $374,000. This format is made possible by the fact that pastries are all baked in the company's confectionary, so there is no need for equipment or baking staff. The pastries range from eclairs to cakes, gelato, coffee, and of course, macarons.
