It takes a special business concept for a kiosk business model to be successful. With Le Macaron French Pastries, our new mobile cart/kiosk option might have a small footprint but it is a huge win for our Franchise Owners. 

When investigating the idea of a mobile cart/kiosk, we kept in mind the high rent that entrepreneurs generally pay to rent out space in a mall:

“We had been thinking a lot about the issue of malls, with the rent now in malls is very high and they don’t have as much foot traffic,” said co-founder Rosalie Guillem.

Our mobile cart/kiosk model has cut franchise costs and overhead costs for Franchise Owners and with 70% of our sales coming from our macarons, we knew that a mobile option for investors would be a perfect addition to the Le Macaron business model.

“We are doing 80 percent of the sales we used to do in the store, the investment to open a mobile kiosk is three times less than a store and the rent is three times less. When you do the math, it's easy to understand,” said Guillem. “We still like to have traditional stores in high traffic locations, those are very nice when the rent makes more sense.”
